Part Six: Mouth piece continued!

So, the following photographs are a bit out of order, since I forgot to add the felt to the mouth until later in the process.

First, trace the shape of the mouth piece on your darker color of felt.

You will cut out this shape, and then draw in the throat and uvula. A uvula is the hangey-down thing at the back of your throat.

Find the center of the mouth piece when drawing the throat hole, so it’s not off to one side.

Now cut out the mouth part.

Next, you will make the tongue, out of the lighter color of felt.  The tongue shape is like a heart shape with a rounded bottom.

Finally, glue the felt in place on the mouth piece.  (Remember, I did this later in the process, that’s why the foam is already covered.)
